79% of students gain 5 A*- C grades in their GCSE results 2017

Congratulations to all our students on their GCSE results. 79% of students have achieved 5 A*- C including 9-4 in English and Maths. In a time of uncertainty with new GCSEs in English and Maths our students have achieved excellent results.

With Maths and English moving to the new 9 to 1 grading system where everything is assessed in the final exams we were delighted that 95% achieved a 4+ (equivalent to the old C+) in English and 81% did so in Maths.

The results show the high standards and expectations the school has for all its students.

As a Catholic school, we have a tradition of outstanding results every year in Religious Studies where all students study the more challenging specification that includes the Catholic paper on Luke’s gospel as well as an examination on Ethics. We are delighted that 87% of students achieved A*-C grades in Religious Studies with 53% of grades being A*/A grades.
