Year 7: As part of the Creative Curriculum , students take part in an election based on the events of 1066 and the three candidates for the throne at that time. They also study feudalism, the effects of the Black Death and the causes of the Peasants’ Revolt – for which they write a radio programme . They also look at the problems of using evidence by studying the case of Tollund man and the Disappearance of the Princes in the Tower. We also visit the Museum in Docklands and Rochester Castle.
Year 8: The religious and political developments of the Tudor and Stuart period – the English Reformation and the Civil War. Ireland from Tudor times to c1900.Africa and the Slave Trade. Civil Rights in the USA
Year 9: Social Change and the Industrial Revolution, The First World War, Votes for Women, World War Two , the Holocaust

In year 8 the three main prize winners for this year’s Slave Story competition were Briony White 8N, Eve Lewis 8E and Jenai Campbell 8C
