News and Events:

We’ve been quite busy in the R.E. department lately!

Year 7s:
Some Yr 7 classes have enjoyed writing to the Pope directly and visiting the chapel to be prayed with by our Yr 9 Prayer Leaders. Each Year 7 class has also had the opportunity to receive Reconciliation and a Meditation session with Catherine our Chaplain.

Year 8s:
All Yr 8’s have had the opportunity to create their own class Mass which they enjoyed choosing readings, writing poems and bidding prayers, role playing Gospel stories and singing hymns. Yr 8 also had the opportunity to receive Reconciliation and a Meditation session with Catherine our Chaplain. Some Yr 8’s worked with the Drama department creating their own scripts for the end of Jesus’ life and directed their own plays. Some Yr 8 classes have created their own personal clay features when studying one of the Prophets Jeremiah (please see photos).

Yr 9s:
All Yr 9’s have had the opportunity to be creative this term with a Spirited Arts Competition. This is where they have created their own personal piece of art work as part of a national art competition. The theme this year was ‘Images of God’. This has been on display in our chapel for all to see and admire (please see photos). Along with this, Yr 9’s have also had their own Meditation session with Catherine our Chaplain and have had the opportunity to receive Reconciliation.
