Religious Education
Staffing
The subject area is staffed by 5 teachers. Each teacher is allocated a teaching room and all rooms have IWB’s. The school has excellent ICT facilities and an excellent library.
Results
Results are outstanding with 92% of pupils achieving L 5 or above at KS3. GCSE results have been improving year on year since 2004. In 2008 pupils achieved 91% A-C and 61% A-A*.

Resources
The subject area is very well resource and has interactive resources and religious artifacts, which help to bring the topic alive for pupils. All classrooms have interactive whiteboards. At KS3 & KS4 every pupil has a text book for their own independent study.

We have a chapel and full time chaplain who works very closely with the Subject area to support the faith development of each pupil.
GCSE RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CURRICULUM
At KS4 we study a course on moral issues in which pupils study modules including:
- Family life
- Birth & Death (abortion, euthanasia)
- Prejudice & Equality
- War, Peace & Human Rights
- Environment
- Disadvantaged (Poverty)
