Message from the Headteacher

Head’s Welcome

It is with great pleasure as Headteacher of St Catherine’s that I can introduce you to our amazing school. I hope that by viewing the pages of the website you will get an insight in to the community of our school and all the factors which make St Catherine’s successful.

We have an enthusiastic body of girls and staff each bringing their unique skills and God given talents to our school. We recognise that each child is an individual and we strive to ensure that they all reach their full potential in all aspects of school life and beyond. Our vision is summarised in the words of St Catherine of Siena “Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.”

Our girls performed exceptionally well in their GCSEs once again this year and this is testimony of their hard work and dedication alongside the commitment of staff to ensure every student is known individually in our caring, Christian community.  The well-being of every student is at the heart of our work at St Catherine’s and is fundamental to our success. Excellence underpins everything we strive for, and spiritual and moral development lies at the heart of our vibrant faith community.

We have high aspirations for every member of our community and through our commitment, determination and living out our mission statement we see these becoming a reality.
