This week saw the official publication of the school and college performance tables.

Please use this link to see how St Catherine’s have performed:

As you will see, when you go onto the government website, St Catherine’s Catholic School is in the top 12% of schools in England for progress. This is the   highest category that a school can be placed in.
Progress 8 is a new measure that informs us how well students have progressed between the end of primary school and secondary school compared to students who got similar results at the end of primary school. It is based on results in up to 8 qualifications which  include English, Maths, 3 qualifications including sciences, computer science, history, geography and  languages and 3 other qualifications. A score of zero would mean that the students in the school are making the expected progress. Our progress 8 score of 0.55 is outstanding and outperforms local comprehensives and grammar schools in the area. We are the highest performing comprehensive secondary school in Bexley.
Parents are able to make comparisons by using the website. You can select schools and a table will compare their performance for you. This year’s progress score is even higher than last year and   demonstrates that despite the pressures of the new curriculum for GCSE students, our students continue to go from strength to strength.
As parents, you know that at St Catherine’s we have high academic standards and the government performance tables are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students who are supported by dedicated staff and supportive parents.
